About Franya

I offer individual, adult, child, teen, couples, and family counselling.

I hold a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. My undergraduate degree is in Child and Youth Care with a specialization in First Nations studies. I am registered with the BC Crime Victim Assistance Program, First Nations Health Authority, and LifeWorks EAP.

I come from a family-systems, mindfulness, and psychodynamic approach, as well as incorporating various aspects of cogntive-behavioral work. I specialize in trauma and come from a trauma-focused approach, as well as a culturally sensitive lens.

I have worked in a variety of non-profit counselling organizations; community resource centers; school settings; women and parent anti-violence organizations; daycare settings; and group homes.

I specialize in: trauma; parenting; child and teen counselling; play therapeutic approaches; LGBTQ and diversity; cultural and First Nations counselling; response-based approaches, anti-violence work; anxiety; mental health; and depression.
