My name is Doug and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor. I grew up in Winnipeg and have lived in Toronto, Vancouver, and now Kelowna. I have a Masters in Counselling Psychology from Adler University in Vancouver and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Manitoba.
My clinical work has been split between public health, where I work with people who struggle with mental illness and chronic substance use issues, and the private health landscape – where I have specialized in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)- and work with people from all walks of life with all kinds of struggles. My goal is to help people feel more in control of their emotions and build a life worth living!
I enjoy playing hockey and golf, and watching Netflix on rainy days. I am an amateur foodie and enjoy cooking – but not nearly as much as I enjoy eating.
