About Rulisha

Too often we are taught that our mental health is not important or that we need to ‘just cope’ with what is happening in our lives. There is also stigma around therapy that it is only for people who have something terribly wrong with them or a serious mental illness. This is simply not true. Your mental health matters and is as much of a priority as your physical health. Rulisha is a Certified Canadian Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. She holds a Masters degree in Counselling and experience in a variety of clinical settings with special focus on struggling adolescents and young adults.

Rulisha’s treatment approach incorporates the use of evidence-based cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) & mindfulness techniques, as well as solution-focused, existential and narrative therapy practices. Her method is a collaborative one, where client and counsellor work together to help you better understand, act on and resolves challenges and situations.

Practical mental health tools, empathy, non-judgement, supportive and a deep understanding of how to bring awareness to and transform long-standing patterns and problems is what you will find in session with Rulisha. She believes it is a privilege to help people heal, grow and create positive change in their lives.
