My name is Kate Schouten, and I would consider myself as an empathetic, passionate, relatable therapist, with excellent communciation skills and self awarness. I have a unique ability to build rapport, problem solve, and am competent in my field. I am excited about working with individuals struggling with various situations, and have experience working with many types of individuals.
I passionate about helping people in our community and am dedicated to those who are seeking personal development and change. As a new mother to two little girls, I understand the challenges that life can throw our way, and brings that understanding to the counselling setting. I am a registered clinical counsellor (RCC), specializing in clinical counselling for individuals, couples and families.
I am passionate about working with children, teens, and adults. I have extensive experience in working with individuals with ASD and other cognitive disorders. My training and expertise in CBT, EFT, Behaviour Intervention, Disability Therapy and Anxiety and Depression have prepared me to work with individuals, groups, and couples.
