Socrates believed that the unexamined life was not worth living. Only in striving to come to know ourselves and to understand ourselves do our lives have any meaning or value. Similarly, clinical counselling involves a working relationship with an expert guide who is uniquely positioned to help you uncover innate wisdom and discover self-knowledge to live a meaningful life, bereft of regret and unrealized potential… OR if you just need a tune-up, no need to make the “noble choice” in the face of death like good ol’ Socrates, just book an appointment to get back on track.
One of the main goals in doing deeper work is to reclaim what has been lost. What has been forgotten or beaten out of you in this crazy, nonstop world. Together, we will stop the emotional toll that can accumulate and get you back to doing what you love or work together to discover what you are meant to be doing.
I received my MA in Counselling Psychology from UBC and my MD from McMaster University. I am a clinical instructor for the UBC Faculty of Medicine, a certified Kundalini Yoga instructor, and a Mindfulness Meditation teacher. My medical and counselling practices are separate entities. Please feel welcome to contact my office to ask questions or book an appointment.
