I believe that counselling needs to be a safe space for people to explore life circumstances, emotions, thoughts and behaviours without worrying about being judged or encountering consequences for speaking openly about their life experiences. I approach counselling using several perspectives and modalities including Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Repossessing (EMDR), Dialectic Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Couples Therapy, Family Therapy and Grief and Loss Counselling. Regardless of the type of counselling used I focus on a client centered and collaborative counselling relationship supported by confidentiality, understanding and respect. My hope is to help people to identify areas of their life that are not working for them or things they would like to change in order to create positive changes towards a more enjoyable life.
