About Amy

If you are feeling stuck in your past, old ways of being, or haunted by painful memories I want you to know that there is hope. I work with many people, who, like you, each have unique stories and pasts, and have done their best to push forward and to leave their hurts behind. You may be surrounded by people, and yet still feel a deep longing in your life for further connection and deeper relationships. You might even feel disconnected from yourself, your body, and others. Perhaps you have tried to cope with the distress by turning to substances, food, pornography, self-harm, shopping, work, or other ways of feeling in control.

I specialize in working with traumatic life events, using both a collaborative approach and trauma-specific techniques to help you process and move forward from your past. We will also work together to help you understand how past experiences may have contribute to present-day feelings of sadness, anxiety, hopelessness or other unhealthy coping patterns.

My approach combines traditional talk therapy and evidence-based approaches to address your individual needs. I believe you are the expert of your life, that you have been doing the best you can, and that by working together we can see the changes, discovery and growth you desire!
