About Natasha

I imagine that you want to bring your full, authentic self to as many corners of your life as possible, yet for you - like many others - sometimes being truly vulnerable might feel risky. You want to be present with the people you treasure, yet your history might make it difficult to untether from the past, and sometimes feel overloaded by the many demands that wrestle for your attention.  If you’ve found your way here, you may be in search of a space where you can explore your genuine, creative self.

We all play many roles in lives - parent, carer, employee, child, sibling, friend, partner…or all of the above! Whether you are managing overwhelming emotions, processing experiences that shaped you in unexpected ways, or are striving to ‘level-up’ your goals, it takes great courage to step outside of those consuming roles to explore what it means to hope. Fortunately, just as we aren’t meant to play these roles alone, we don’t have to do the work alone.  I am always humbled and honoured to meet and walk alongside you on these journeys.

Human minds are sponges for learning. As infants, we learn by observing, listening and copying. As children, we learn by reading, asking questions, and having conversations. However, we often don’t consider that even as adults we are still learning how to be in the world. We are constantly overloaded by demands, and simultaneously pride ourselves on our ability to juggle. Productivity has become an expectation at every stage of life. However, ‘busyness’ deprives us of our energy to spend time reflecting on our journeys and considering what we might have overlooked or compromised along the way. (Spoiler alert: it’s usually an aspect of our wellbeing). Fortunately, we are always learning.

I endeavour to facilitate meaningful conversations as well as art and play experiences with individuals, siblings, caregivers, families, groups and peer-support networks. I cannot expect my clients to be honest and vulnerable without committing to do so equally myself. By holding this at the core of my approach to counselling, I strive to invite open-hearted exchanges. I draw on creative and body-based techniques to facilitate this connection. I value that everyone has a right to explore their thoughts, feelings, concerns and hopes in a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental therapeutic space.
