Morgan is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology as well as a Masters degree in Counselling. She enjoys working together with people to help them move forward in life.
Morgan works with individuals to provide a warm and caring environment to talk about concerns such as depression and anxiety, eating disorders and emotional eating, body image struggles, self-esteem and identity, stress management, life-transitions, women's issues, maternal mental health, and postpartum depression. Morgan draws from different counselling modalities and appreciates her clients' uniqueness and strengths to find an approach that is specific to each individual. Morgan enjoys updating her knowledge through reviewing current research, and seeks to implement best practices in her clinical work.
Specialization - Eating Disorder Counselling
Morgan specializes in working with youth and men and woman of all ages who are struggling with eating disorders/eating problems. Her approach to treating eating disorders is through Enhanced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT-E) and she has received specialized training in implementing this type of therapy. Enhanced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT-E) primarily focuses on what is keeping the eating problem going, and it is the leading evidence-based treatment for adults with an eating disorder (Fairburn, 2008).
In Morgan's spare time she enjoys being outside, going for walks, reading, traveling, drinking coffee, and spending time with friends and family
