*I am currently not accepting any new clients until the New Year. Thank you for your interest.
The unique feature of my practice is the lens through which I think about and address life's challenges. I use a family systems approach to support clients with issues related to mental and physical health, relationship problems, family challenges such as conflict or grief and loss, and even career issues. I work with individuals, couples and families. My goals are to help clients think differently about their problems, reduce anxieties and open up lines of communication. And maybe even to find a little humour in what life throws our way! Clients benefit from both short-term and long-term therapy, depending on their goals and needs.I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor in BC. My background is in social and behavioural health sciences, with PhD-level training from the University of Victoria. I have also completed three years of advanced post-graduate clinical training in Bowen Family Systems Therapy.Systems thinking offers a very different way of considering and dealing with the difficulties that life brings. It allows us to take responsibility for what we can, without the need to place blame. I find that this approach empowers my clients to better define themselves and reach their goals, no matter how great or small.
