I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#16151) with the B.C. Association of Clinical Counsellors and Professional Art Therapist with the Canadian Art Therapy Association. I am a registered service provider with ICBC, First Nations Health Authority (FNHA), and Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP).
I have my Master in Counselling Psychology and Art Therapy. I have ten years of experience working with children, adults, and families. I have worked in different roles in a private organization and public school setting.
I offer individual and couple counselling services to adults in downtown, Vancouver office. I use art therapy and mindfulness-based somatic therapy to help clients to process through their challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression and stress.
Art Therapy is a combined therapeutic process of visual art and psychotherapy. It uses the created image as a foundation for self-exploration and self-realization of personal thoughts and feelings rather than in words. Through the use of art therapy, feelings and inner conflicts can be projected into visual form.
In Mindfulness based somatic therapy, you are gently guided to safely release and let-go of emotional pain, alleviating stress and chronic tension held in the body for deep relaxation, healing and personal growth. MBST sessions are designed to support the body's natural process for releasing self-restricting patterns and emotional trauma - opening the way for you to feel joy, self-compassion and love.
