About Susan

I believe that people are the experts in their own lives and work with my clients collaboratively and non-judgmentally. I offer an approach to counselling based on authenticity, genuine care and respect. My approach is eclectic, built on person/child-centred therapy and relational therapy. I offer short term and in-depth counselling to address issues that make people feel stuck, ashamed, confused, guilty, insecure, depressed, worried, afraid or just curious about themselves and that might be preventing them from reaching a sense of fulfillment, self-efficacy & control in their lives.

I believe in a therapeutic approach that takes into consideration all aspects of my clients' lives such as emotions, cognitions, bheaviours, spirituality and community. For this reason, I work with clients from an integrative lens, using a wide variety of counselling interventions that fit my client's needs and meet them where they are at.

I have experience working with clients of diverse backgrounds and with different life challenges. I also enjoy working with people of all ages (children, youth and adults), always tailoring my therapeutic interventions to my client's developmental stage, pace and needs. Additionally, I provide parent support and family interventions when needed.
