About Rosalind

Existential Psychology, represented primarily by Victor Frankl, Irvin Yalom and Rollo May, is concerned with the individual's attempts to discover a satisfying sense of personal identity, and their search for personal meaning.

It is a school of psychology which emphasizes that each individual is constantly making choices, great and small, which cumulatively determine the kind of person they become.

Existential Therapy is a process of searching for value and meaning in life. The therapist's task is to encourage clients to explore their options for creating a meaningful existence and to recognise ways in which they may have surrendered control.

We do not have to remain passive victims of our circumstances but instead can become the conscious architects of our own lives.

We have the freedom to choose. We are what we choose to be, the authors of our own lives.

It takes courage to "be" and our choices determine the type of person we become. We face a struggle between the security of dependence, and the delights and pains of growth.
