I work with women between the ages of 18-40 and whose primary struggle lies in their relationships - with either themselves or others. Issues may include self-esteem, identity, body image, negative self-talk, self-deprecating thoughts, limiting beliefs, anxiety, depression or loneliness. In relationship with others, clients issues may include social anxiety, communication, unhealthy relationship patterns, like co-dependency, difficulty with secure attachment, infidelity or overall dissatisfaction. My clients are seeking a grounded sense of self, to learn to love themselves and to find real connection.
I am trained in Transpersonal Counselling Psychology, with an approach that pulls together aspects of Family Systems theory, attachment theory, person-centered and somatic-oriented therapies, including polyvagal theory. I believe in the power of healing through connection and the safe container of the therapeutic relationship. My specialty is working with women who harbour deep shame and struggle to see their own value and self-worth.
As a woman myself who has battled with many of these challenges, I continue to do my own work and have found wisdom in my struggle. My priority is to guide and support women to do their own work in the container of a safe therapeutic space - to be seen, heard and held without judgment. In this space, there can only be healing and growth.
