About Tamara

Whatever challenges you are facing, you don't have to do it alone. I offer emotional safety when you are feeling vulnerable. I offer calmness when things feel chaotic. You can count on a comfortable and compassionate space to express what is happening for you in your life and I, in turn, will offer you guidance in exploring those areas of deepest concern.  My intention is that you will gain awareness and clarity that lead to the discovery of your inner capacities in moving through life's rough patches.

In our work together, we will join our focused attention on improving aspects of your life and emotional well-being that are of importance to you. I use methods which have been backed up by scientific literature and proven to be effective in the regulation of emotions, shifting negative thought patterns, managing anger, and treating anxiety and depression. My approach is also holistic and recognizes the importance of the mind-body-spirit connection in moving towards healing.

I draw from an eclectic mix of evidence-based and strength-based therapy modalities, some of which include: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) and the principles of Positive Psychology.  My approach is also holistic and recognizes the importance of the mind-body-spirit connection in moving towards healing.

Our work together is intended to help you to gain confidence in coping with problems, improving self-esteem, nurturing healthy relationships and promoting emotional wellness in your daily life.
